Hawai'i Theater

Today Jon and I installed Dolby Digital Heads and swapped out the IR optical sound readers for LED readers on the 35mm projectors in the Hawai'i Theater Booth. We enjoyed some organ music while working as there was a small performance happening. Tomorrow is the opening night of the festival and I look forward to seeing "Babel".

Pre-HIFF Life

Life has become Korean plate lunches, swims in the ocean, bicycling around Honolulu and film film film. I've also experienced my first earthquake from my 35th floor hotel room.

Life in Hawaii with a bicycle rocks, even though it's one of the worst bicycle friendly places I've been. It's freedom and exercise together, plus my bike allows me to see the city and tour the beaches like I never could if I was in a car. The Hawaii International Film Festival begins Thursday and I've been busy building up films.

Honolulu

I've arrived to HI for the Hawaii International Film Festival. This is the view from my room at the Ohana Maile Sky Court.
